There’s a lot to love about Brighton and Hove. And one of the things I love most is its creative edge.
Our city’s packed to the rafters with innovative talents and our creative community has gained rightfully far-reaching recognition.
Last Saturday, just some of our local talents gathered together for some fairytale festivities. There were about 40 craft and vintage stalls (and far too many temptations!) at the FairyTale Fair in Patcham Methodist Hall. And it was lovely to meet its brilliant organiser, Claire Montogomery (pictured), a local award-winning (and very busy!) businesswoman.
It was just the kind of display of originality we expect from Brighton – handmade, hand designed and vintage gifts and seriously good homemade cakes and chocolate. And it was wonderful to see skills and tips being shared through workshops so people could learn something new.
Best of all, it’s happening again - fittingly, on Small Business Saturday (December 6th). This time it’s at Brighton Racecourse. You can find out more here.
