So that Trident replacement is subject to full scrutiny by the new Parliament, I am writing to urge you to do everything in your power to push for a full Commons debate to be timetabled when the ‘Initial Gate' stage of the Trident replacement programme is reached.

For information, printed overleaf is a copy of a letter that I sent earlier this week to David Cameron about the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference.

I would, of course, welcome any comments that you have on its contents in addition to your response to my call for a full debate in the Commons on Trident replacement.
