A fair campaign pledge for the election

Delighted to have signed the Clean Campaign Pledge for the general election.

The Green Party has a tradition of fair campaigning in elections.

I believe residents locally deserve campaigns based around issues which affect them, not on point scoring.

Voters are fed up with negative campaigns, which spend more time rubbishing other candidates than talking about policies.

That's why I'm urging the other parties to show respect for the people of Brighton by signing up to the pledge too.  Read more here.

I've pledged:

  • To fight a clean, positive and honest campaign around the issues that concern local voters.
  • To tell the truth about what we stand for and have achieved, and about what others stand for and have achieved.
  • To refrain from personal attacks.
  • To make only honest and reasonable promises.
  • To publish online details of all donations of more than £1,000, in
    line with Electoral Commission rules.
