Conference has continued to amaze and exhaust - a large number of new faces cramming into the Hove centre which is a promising sign. Clearly many have had enough of expenses scandals, Afghanistan, Peter Mandelson, not to mention the state of the economy and the failure to take serious action to curb the bankers bonuses. They'd have been interested to see that we had an excellent workshop examining tangible ways in which we can improve the number of cooperatives in the economy. This is something the party as a whole is strongly behind as they strengthen the economy where it counts - locally, in communities, in people's pockets. Not in some distant boardroom.
