The meeting follows on from the successful BWV “Speak Out on Sexism” event in December.
This saw speakers and performers take to the stage at the Sallis Benney Theatre to highlight links between media sexism and attitudes that underpin violence and discrimination against women and girls, and to support women in speaking out.
Participants included the excellent comedian Kate Smurthwaite, pictured with the microphone above.
This week’s Brighton Women’s Voices open meeting is an opportunity to get directly involved, meet others, develop ideas and shape the network!
Due to a limited capacity, those wishing to attend are asked to RSVP to brightonwomensvoices@gmail.com with your full name and if you are attending as a representative of an organisation, service or group or as an individual.
Please note this meeting is for self-identifying women only.
Please do get in touch with brightonwomensvoices@gmail.com if you have any accessibility needs.
