Caroline will be one of the main speakers at a public meeting on Friday 17 June focusing on controversial proposals to turn Varndean School into an 'academy'.
The meeting, organised by Varndean School Against Academies (VSAA), will be held at the Friends Meeting House on Ship Street and aims to discuss concerns arising out of the 'expression of interest' by governors to seek 'academy' status for the school.
Caroline will be joined on the panel by Nick Childs, National Union of Teachers, Alasdair Smith, national secretary of the Anti Academies Alliance, and David Richards, former Varndean governor.
