Responding to today's report by the IPPR Commission on Economic Justice, Green Party co-leader Caroline Lucas MP said: "This report sets out for politicians what people across the country have known for years: our economy isn't working. While the Government wastes time wrangling with its disastrous Brexit, ministers are failing to tackle the very real reasons people voted for such a drastic change.
"The IPPR Commission is right to call for a Sustainable Economy Act so we can restrict the harm polluting industries do to our environment while rebalancing our unequal society. We need a government that prioritises improving people's lives over profit, growth and Brexit."
