Had a lovely opportunity to meet Lizzie, a newly qualified nurse, on Saturday.

We had a chat about the NHS and how she feels about qualifying in a time of frenzy in the other political parties as they call for cuts.

I was really interested to hear what she had to say about health care services in Brighton, and she seemed interested to hear about Green Party commitment to the NHS and buying back rip-off PFI hospitals.

Looking forward to going to Patcham High school later today for a hustings style event on 'environment and sustainability'.

Will be speaking to year 11, and am expecting a thought provoking and entertaining session.

A big well done to Albion in the Community, who won the Football League Trust Best Community Project Award for their Making A Difference project, which gives over 4000 disabled children and adults the chance to play football.

A wonderful project, and I'm pleased they have been deservedly recognised for this brilliant work.

I met with the director of Albion in the Community Alan Sanders a little while back, and he was full of excellent ideas and enthusiasm.

I was surprised at the range of work they do - much more than I'd thought.
