Today I took part in the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, cancer charity Macmillan’s annual fund-raiser for their work of improving the lives of people affected by cancer.

Dozens of coffee mornings took place across Brighton.

In between meetings I popped out of the office to join in the event hosted by staff here at the Brighton Media Centre.

There was a fantastic spread, and a good turnout from the many businesses based at the Centre.

I particularly enjoyed an iced muffin made by Centre Manager and legendary baker Helen.

Last year Macmillan raised a record £10 million.

This year’s total is obviously not yet known, and the event is still going on here in the Media Centre, where I’m thinking of re-visiting the stall for another look at the carrot cake ...
