I've signed up to the Save the Children campaign pledge to fight child poverty in the UK, and was delighted to go along to their photocall on Friday.
It's a scandal that in Brighton and Hove 42% of children are living in low-income households - that this has been allowed to happen under Labour is a damning indictment of the Government.
Globally 8.8 million children in the world's poorest countries die every year before their fifth birthday. We really need urgent action to bring an end to this, and you can read more about the campaign here.

As leader of a political party and MEP, I know only too well some of the challenges of working full time with a young family, though my children are now in their teens.
