A Journey Through Trees...

Spending as much time as I do stuck on trains between Brussels and Brighton, getting a spare hour to wander in Brighton's numerous parks is sheer heaven! The city is blessed with some great open spaces - St Ann's Wells and Queens Park are personel favourities - and this time of year the park's trees really come alive with a myriad of autumn colours.

It was a delight to see that the Crane Kalman Gallery in the North Laine is hosting a remarkable exhibition - A Journey Through Trees - by up and coming artists Ben Gold and Jean-Luc Brouard. The collection, based largely on observational photography in some of the country's grandest country gardens and parks, is truly awe-inspiring and shows a variety of trees in unusual and imaginative fashion.

If like me you struggle to find time to actually visit the parks - or indeed the fantastic countryside surrounding Brighton - do try and find time to drop into the gallery (based in Kensington Gardens, near Infinity Foods) and escape for ten minutes...
