Spent a very busy Saturday canvassing. In the morning I spoke to residents in Coldean, followed by a lovely lunch cooked by local members - just what I needed to get me going again for an afternoon of door-knocking, this time in the centre of town on Montpelier Road.

It's so inspiring having so many members come from all over the country to help - I spoke to one supporter who wants to come down from Edinburgh just to help deliver and door-knock!

It's so interesting hearing what people have to say. I speak to people from all over Brighton, and from totally different walks of life, yet the same concerns are echoed time and again.

Job cuts. Public transport. The NHS. The recession.

Trust in politicians following the expenses scandal. Whatever their background, people all over Brighton seem to be hungry for a change.
