Caroline and conference participants take part in a bike maintenance workshop
Last week I had the honour of speaking to primary and secondary school pupils from across the city who were gathered at the Brighton & Hove Eco-Schools conference.
This inspiring event was held at Patcham High School and gave pupils on school eco-committees a chance to share ideas and experiences and examples of their work so far.
Staff and adult supporters too welcomed the opportunity to celebrate the children’s commitment to action.
The event was the culmination of the first year of a three-year programme of Environmental Education, run for Brighton & Hove Council by Resource Futures in partnership with Sussex Wildlife Trust.
It was an impressive demonstration of how far schools have come already and I wish them all the best for similar success during the rest of the project!
