Caroline scoops prize for best parliamentary newcomer in Spectator Awards

 Caroline receives Spectator prize from Prime Minister David Cameron 

Caroline picked up the prestigious ‘newcomer of the year' parliamentary award at the Spectator's annual Parliamentarian of the Year Awards ceremony in central London on Wednesday night.

Caroline became the UK's first ever Green MP when she was elected by the people of Brighton Pavilion in May 2010. 

She said, "I am delighted to receive this award from the Spectator, and appreciate that my efforts as a new elected member in Westminster have been recognised in this way.

"I hope to be able to live up to the high expectations that this title brings - and be a great MP for my Brighton Pavilion constituents."
