School kids get creative as Brighton MP launches Xmas card contest

Students at three local primary schools are putting pens and paint brushes to paper to design a greetings card for Brighton Pavilion MP Caroline Lucas to send out in the run up to Christmas.

Pupils from Carden Primary School, St Bartholomew's C.E. Primary School, and Westdene Primary School have until Friday 23 November to submit their designs to the school office.

The winning design will be announced on 26 November and then made into printed cards to be sent out from Caroline’s Westminster office to hundreds of her constituents and other contacts.

The design will also feature on the MP’s website and Facebook page.

Brighton sushi restaurant Moshimo is kindly sponsoring the costs of printing and postage, while local printers RePrint Limited will be making up the final Christmas cards on recycled paper.

Caroline Lucas MP said:

"I’m delighted to have this opportunity to showcase the creative talents of school children in the constituency – and very much look forward to seeing the final designs."

Karl Jones from Moshimo added:

"Moshimo hopes that all the children taking part have great fun doing so.

"It's so exciting to imagine that the winning design will be up on mantelpieces all across the city of Brighton & Hove and beyond."
